4. Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS)

5.1 Concepts

Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) provides information about molecular diffusion and concentration information. TI Workbench provides FCS analysis for electrophysiology and sparse mode imaging data formats. The "autocorrelation" window appears through the "time correlation" menu item of the "A/D options" menu for electrophysiology data, or kept displayed with sparse mode imaging data.
This "correlation viewer" can be opened by opening correlation data file (.ticor), selecting the "time correlation" menu item in the "A/D option" menu for electrophysiological data, or selecting "Correlation Viewer from data in clipboard" in the "File Menu" with a proper data in the clipboard. In the last method, ,f the top line of the clipboard text holds a string, it is used as the name of the correlation; pairs of tau [msec] and G delimited by any space and new line characters follow.
